Chain Breaker for 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8" Pitch Chain

Firstly, for a #40 chain, there wasn't enough spacing to get the chain in position unless I completely unthreaded the pin. Once I placed the chain in the groove, I couldn't get the pin threaded because it would push back on the chain before the tool had the chance to bite. I decided to knock off a small piece with a whizz wheel, giving me the clearance I needed. As I began to use the tool I got a small portion of the chain's pin to move before the pin of the chain breaker just snapped. It was literally useless.

Great price and good product!

Chain break isn't the finest quality but did the job I needed it to do. If I did more of this then I do I would deffinetly invest in a better one. Before I bought this tool I used a hammer and a punch this somewhat beats that.

Looks of good quality haven’t had the chance to use it but it looks ready for the task.

It definitely separates the chain nice and easy. If I were purchasing another it would have the feature to put the chain back together. I have one for a 35 chain and I never use a master link.
