Overview
Product Description
12" Vintage Mini Bike Handlebars, 7/8"
Give your mini bike a classic, old-school appearance with these 12" Vintage Mini Bike Handlebars. Made in the USA from steel tubing, these handlebars combine a tall 12" profile with 2.5" of pullback for a distinctive vintage mini bike and cruiser-style riding position.
The standard 7/8" diameter works with many common mini bike risers, grips, throttles, brake levers, and handlebar controls. Choose bare steel for a completely custom finish or select the new glossy black powder-coated option for a durable, finished appearance.
Available Finishes
- Bare Steel: Ready for custom paint, powder coat, polishing, or another finish of your choice.

Vintage Handlebars vs. Ape Hanger Handlebars
These vintage handlebars feature more pullback than our 12" ape hangers, creating a more rearward-swept hand position and a distinctive old-school profile.
- 12" Vintage Handlebars: 2.5" of pullback for a more pronounced rearward sweep.
- 12" Ape Hanger Handlebars: 1" of pullback for a straighter, traditional ape-hanger appearance.
Rider position depends on the mini bike frame, seat height, fork, riser height, handlebar angle, and the rider's size. Compare the dimensions carefully before ordering.
Fitment Information
These are universal-style mini bike handlebars designed for applications using 7/8" clamps, risers, grips, throttles, brake levers, and controls. They are not guaranteed to bolt directly onto every mini bike.
Measure your application before ordering. Verify the handlebar diameter, riser spacing, available cable length, control compatibility, and clearance on your mini bike.
- Taller handlebars may require a longer throttle cable, brake cable, brake hose, kill-switch wiring, or other control wiring.
- Verify that all cables and wires move freely throughout the complete steering range.
- Cables must not pull, bind, pinch, or contact hot or moving components.
- Confirm that the handlebars clear the frame, fuel tank, seat, and other components when turned fully left and right.
- Different handlebar risers or mounting hardware may be required depending on the application.
Recommended Items
- Mini Bike Handlebar Control Kit
- 75" Mikuni Mini Bike Throttle Cable
- 12" Ape Hanger Mini Bike Handlebars
- 15" Ape Hanger Mini Bike Handlebars
Cable note: The recommended 75" Mikuni cable is intended for compatible Mikuni-style carburetor and throttle configurations. Measure the required cable length and verify both cable ends before ordering.
Finish Notes
- Bare-steel handlebars may arrive with minor surface rust, discoloration, tooling marks, weld discoloration, or handling marks.
- Minor surface rust on the bare-steel option is normal and can be removed while preparing the handlebars for paint or powder coat.
- Bare steel should be cleaned and finished promptly to help prevent additional corrosion.
- Mock up bare-steel handlebars with the risers and controls before applying a permanent finish.
- Powder coating adds a small amount of material thickness. Minor fitting or careful removal of coating from concealed clamp or control-mounting areas may occasionally be required.
- Small installation marks may occur in concealed clamping and control-mounting areas.
Installation and Safety
- Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with handlebar, throttle, cable, brake, or control installation.
- Use properly sized 7/8" risers and suitable mounting hardware.
- Verify that the handlebars are securely clamped and cannot rotate during operation.
- Confirm that the throttle operates smoothly and returns automatically with the handlebars centered and turned fully in both directions.
- Verify proper brake operation before riding.
- Reinspect the handlebar clamps, controls, cables, and mounting hardware after the initial ride.
Important: Fitment is the responsibility of the installer. Longer cables, different risers, additional wiring, mounting hardware, or other modifications may be required depending on the mini bike and control configuration.
