Build It Your Way: Inside Devon’s Custom Rascal GT "Street Cruiser"

The best part about the Rascal GT Mini Bike Frame is that it’s not just a frame—it’s a total blank canvas. Whether you want a rugged off-road machine, a drag-strip monster, or a slick neighborhood cruiser, the Rascal GT is designed to let you, the builder, take total control.

To prove just how versatile this platform is, Devon from the GoPowerSports sales team pulled a bare Rascal GT frame into the shop and built his ultimate rendition: The 15" Street Cruiser. Devon wanted a bike that looked incredibly clean, handled smoothly on the pavement, and had serious power the second you twist the throttle. Watching the video above, it’s clear he nailed the aesthetic. The aggressive, low-slung drag seat perfectly compliments the beefy street tires and gleaming silver tank.

Here is a closer look at exactly how Devon built it, and the parts he used to pull it off.

🛞 The Stance & Rollers

The defining feature of this build is the stance. Devon ditched the knobby off-road look and threw on a set of massive 15x5-6 Street Tires. To get them mounted up, he used a lightweight DWT 6" x 5" Front Wheel and our bulletproof GPS Racing Rear Wheel Assembly.

To make sure it rides as smooth as it looks, he drilled out the triples to accept our Universal Front Suspension. The combination of the street slicks and the front shocks makes this one of the best-handling pavement cruisers we've ever put together.

🔧 The Heart of the Build

A cruiser this mean needs an engine that can back it up. Devon dropped in the legendary Tillotson 212 MBRS Engine, giving it plenty of torque and top-end speed.

To give the bike its unique profile, he bypassed the stock gas tank and mounted a gorgeous 10" Silver Cylinder Tank right to the top tube. He helped the engine breathe with a Mikuni Manifold and our custom Rascal GT Header Pipe. Finally, he tied all that power to the ground using a 12T Max-Torque 3k Stall Clutch and a #35 Gold/Gold racing chain.

🏁 Comfort & Controls

You need total control when you're ripping a Tillotson 212 on the street. Devon set up the cockpit with a set of MM80 Handlebars mounted on Tall 7/8" Billet Risers (drilling the triples to make them fit). He wrapped the bars in Grey Biltwell Thruster Grips for a premium feel.

For the ride itself, he opted for the sleek 18.5" Drag Seat to keep him locked in place during hard acceleration, finished off with Silver Billet Foot Pegs and a Rear Hydraulic Brake to stop all that power on a dime.
