212cc Electric Start Engine – 7 HP Lifan Engine with 3/4" Horizontal Shaft
A dependable 7 HP electric-start powerplant for custom go-karts, mini bikes, utility builds, and other powersports projects.
The 212cc Electric Start Engine combines convenient push-button starting with a dependable recoil pull-start backup. Its horizontal layout, standard 3/4" keyed crankshaft, low-oil shutdown, and Honda Clone-style bottom end make it a versatile choice for custom mini bikes, go-karts, and off-road equipment.
This engine is supplied with a recoil starter and electric-start system. Builders adding the electric-start function to a custom project will need to provide the correct battery, wiring, mounting configuration, and electrical connections for their application.

- Choose the Correct Clutch: The engine uses a 3/4" crankshaft. Match the clutch bore and chain size to your drivetrain:
- Add Performance Parts: Increase airflow, horsepower, and overall engine response with the Stage 1 Performance Kit for 196cc and 212cc Engines. A compatible 196cc/212cc Header Pipe is required for Stage 1 intake and exhaust upgrades.
- Fill the Engine Before Starting: Engines may ship without operating oil. Add the correct oil before starting or operating the engine. For initial break-in, use Tillotson Break-In Oil as directed by the oil and engine instructions. We recommend using the Tillotson Synthetic 4-Stroke Performance Oil.
- Electric-Start Battery: To use the electric-start function, add a YTX5L Sealed Battery. Custom wiring and battery mounting may be required depending on your vehicle.

This engine uses a 3/4" horizontal keyed crankshaft and a Honda Clone-style bottom end. Verify your engine plate, mounting bolt pattern, crankshaft height, clutch bore, chain size, throttle setup, exhaust clearance, and electrical requirements before installation.
The engine may require removal or modification of the factory air box, muffler, fuel tank, controls, or other components when installed in a custom mini bike or go-kart.
