Product Description
The Ultimate Bolt On Torque Converter Kit for 8-18 HP engines. This TAV Kit is specifically for big block engines (Predator 301/420, GX270/390, etc) with 1" Crankshafts. If used on engines larger than 18 HP, you will burn up belts.
We recommend you use an impact when installing these parts. Failure to do so may result in the torque converter coming apart and possible injury.
Back Plate Not Sold Separately
Kit Includes:
- 1- 40 series driver for 1" crankshaft
- 1- 40 5/8" or 3/4" series driven pulley
- 1- 40 series 7/8" wide drive belt
- 1- 10T Sprocket for 40/41/420 chain
- 1- jack shaft assembly
- 1- 3/8" heavy duty steel back plate with all mounting hardware
- Outer cover with mounting hardware

Bent jack...
When I received my 40 series torque converter kit, the jackshaft was bent. After contacting customer service, two days later I received a new jackshaft and bearings. No questions or cost. Absolutely fantastic customer service. Customer for life .

Got this for my coleman with a 420cc and turned...
Got this for my coleman with a 420cc and turned it into a 100kmh bike. Love it. Only issue I have with it is that at the low speed the belt is true to the clutches, but at WOT it’s significantly out. I have adjusted every which way I can to try and rectify this issue. I hardly think the steel plate would flex from the torque but I still have to check to see if the plate is straight

30 series clone versus 40 series comet.
I recently purchased a 30 series from Amazon. It was advertised as fitting a Honda gx270. It came with the wrong bolt and cone washer. I e-mailed them for the correct parts with no reply. I sent it back and ordered your 40 series and couldn’t be more tickled. Thank you! For a great USA made product.

Improper...
This setup will cause premature belt wear, and rob you of power and speed. The driven pulley needs to be facing the other direction. Will it work? Yes. Plan on buying a lot of belts tho!!! I can’t believe a supposed go kart shop sells this setup See pic for proper setup.

Engagement it got stuck after a while and I almost drove into on coming traffic I had to shut the engine off and slam on the brakes it gets stuck and does not want to go back
