My aftermarket VM22 carb idled like crap until I bought a Klein pilot jet #40 from Jets R Us. At first I thought the .0150 carb that comes with that carb was running too lean so I bought the .0175 and .0200 from this website. They didn't fix the issue. I compared the holes for all of them and noticed that they were all drilled (there was a metal shaving in one). They drilled them too big. In fact, the .0150 (which is supposed to be the smallest according to the guy I spoke to) had the largest hole by far. Bottom line, these pilot jets will have your engine running way too rich.
