The Bolt Go-Kart Kit, designed in collaboration with Build Break Repeat, is the ultimate weekend garage project. Crafted for builders of all ages, this premium USA-made kit gives you the thrill of scratch-building a custom go-kart without needing a welder. Grab your wrenches, follow the step-by-step guide, and bolt together a legendary single-seater.
THE BUILDER'S CANVAS: Bare Steel & Custom Paint
Make it yours. The frame components ship as bare mild steel, completely unpainted and ready for your custom paint job or powder coat. Pro-Tip: We highly recommend mocking up the entire frame and ensuring all parts align perfectly before applying any paint.
Choose Your Powerplant (Engine Options)
Use the dropdown menu above to select your engine package. We've taken the guesswork out of the drivetrain:
- The Screamer: Tillotson 212E Pull Start Engine (Includes 12T #35 Clutch, 3/4" Bore). Highly recommended for maximum thrill.
- The Cruiser: 98cc Engine (Includes 12T #35 Clutch, 5/8" Bore). Great for younger or lighter drivers.
- Roller Only: No engine, no clutch. Bring your own powerplant (must use a clutch rated for #35 chain).
- The Lifeblood: Don't start a fresh engine dry. Grab Tillotson Break-In Oil and Synthetic 4-Stroke Oil to protect your investment.
Will It Fit? (Sizing & Dimensions)
- Adjustable Setup: Two pedal hole locations to comfortably suit different driver heights.
- Minimum Reach: Seat Back to Pedals minimum length is 36".
- Overall Footprint: 66" Length x 38" Width (from outside of rear tires) x 25" Height (top of steering wheel).
- Portability: Fits perfectly in a standard 5.5' truck bed when fully assembled.
