Bolt Go-Kart Kit – Premium Bolt-Together Single-Seat Go-Kart
Build a real go-kart with basic hand tools—no welding required.
The Bolt Go-Kart Kit was designed in collaboration with Build Break Repeat for builders who want to assemble and customize their own single-seat go-kart. The pre-drilled bare-steel frame and complete rolling chassis provide a straightforward path from boxed parts to a finished kart.
Choose the frame-only option for your own powertrain, add a 98cc engine for a lighter-powered build, or choose the Tillotson 212cc pull-start package for more performance. Assembly is required for every option.
Choose Your Bolt Go-Kart Package
- Frame Only — No Engine or Clutch: Includes the complete Bolt rolling chassis, steering, brakes, wheels, selected tires, controls, and assembly hardware.
- 98cc Engine + Clutch: Includes the Bolt rolling chassis, 98cc Gasoline Engine, and 12T Centrifugal Clutch, 5/8" Bore, #35.
- Tillotson 212cc Pull-Start Engine + Clutch: Includes the Bolt rolling chassis, Tillotson 212E Hemi Racing Engine, Pull Start, and a matched 12-tooth #35 clutch with a 3/4" bore.
Choose Your Tire Style
Select the tire style that best matches how you plan to use your Bolt Go-Kart. Your selected tire style will be supplied as a pair and mounted on the included 6" wheels.
- 13" Cleat Tires: Aggressive tread for improved traction on dirt, loose surfaces, and off-road trails.
- 13" Slick Tires: Smooth slick-style tread for hard-packed surfaces, pavement, and street-inspired kart builds.
- 13" Turf Tires: Rounded turf tread designed to provide a balance of traction and reduced ground disturbance on grass and softer surfaces.
Tire selection notice: Only one tire style is included with each kit. Tire appearance may vary slightly from product photos based on current inventory. Verify that your selected tire style is appropriate for your intended riding surface.

Engine and Clutch Fitment
The 98cc package uses a 5/8"-bore clutch. The Tillotson 212cc package uses a 3/4"-bore clutch. If you supply your own engine, the clutch must match the engine crankshaft diameter, keyway, and the Bolt Kart’s #35 chain pitch.
Compatible clutch examples include the 12T Centrifugal Clutch, 5/8" Bore, #35 and the 12T GPS Centrifugal Clutch, 3/4" Bore, #35.

Important Builder’s Notes
- Assembly Required: Basic hand tools and mechanical assembly are required.
- Mock Up Before Painting: Assemble and test-fit the frame before painting or powder coating.
- Check All Fasteners: Verify steering, brakes, throttle return, kill switch operation, chain alignment, clutch retention, tire pressure, and fastener tightness before riding.
- Wheel and Tire Clearance: Confirm that the selected tire style has adequate clearance from the frame, chain, brake components, and steering system before operation.
