The Mega Moto 212 Complete Mini Bike Kit brings together the major components needed to build a capable full-size mini bike without sourcing the frame, engine, drivetrain, wheels, brakes, and controls separately.

The kit is built around the proven Mega Moto 212 long-wheelbase chassis. Its front suspension helps absorb uneven terrain, while front and rear hydraulic disc brakes provide confident braking control. Tall 19-inch off-road tires give the bike useful ground clearance and a comfortable stance for trail riding.

Power now comes from a Lifan 212cc 7 HP four-stroke engine with both 12V electric start and a recoil pull-start backup. A 30 Series torque converter transfers power smoothly and provides stronger low-speed response than a basic centrifugal-clutch setup.

Lifan 212cc Engine Features

Electric Start Requirements

The included Lifan engine is equipped with an electric starter, but the standard Mega Moto 212 Complete Kit does not include the external battery installation unless the product options specifically state otherwise.

To complete the electric-start system, add the Mega Moto 212 Battery Box Kit. That accessory includes the battery box, YTX5L-BS battery, battery strap, and positive battery lead wire.

• The engine can still be started using the recoil pull starter without installing the electric-start battery system.
• Battery mounting, cable routing, electrical connections, grounding, and final testing are the builder’s responsibility.
• Confirm the required wiring, charging components, rectifier, and connections for the Lifan 170FD before installation.
• Do not connect a battery until the engine and vehicle wiring have been inspected for proper polarity, insulation, routing, and secure connections.

Assembly and Initial Setup

This is an unassembled builder’s kit. Mechanical assembly, engine installation, drivetrain alignment, wiring, adjustment, and a complete safety inspection are required before operation.

• Secure the engine to the engine plate using the correct mounting hardware.
• Install and align the 30 Series torque converter, jackshaft, drive belt, sprockets, and chain.
• Verify that the torque-converter driver is correctly secured to the Lifan engine’s 3/4" crankshaft.
• Confirm proper chain alignment, chain tension, and sprocket alignment.
• Install and adjust the handlebars, throttle, kill switch, brake controls, and cables.
• Verify that the throttle operates smoothly and automatically returns to idle.
• Inspect and test both hydraulic brake systems.
• Check wheel, axle, steering, suspension, and brake fasteners.
• Add the proper engine oil and fresh gasoline before starting.
• Perform the first test ride at low speed in a clear, controlled area.

Performance Kit Installation

The included Stage 1 Performance Kit for 196cc/212cc Engines is designed to improve airflow and engine response on compatible Honda Clone-style engines.

Verify the carburetor configuration on the supplied Lifan engine before installing the Stage 1 components. Some EPA-style carburetors use non-replaceable jets and may require a compatible adjustable carburetor before a performance jet can be installed.

Warranty Note: The Lifan engine should remain in its original box-stock configuration if you want to preserve eligibility for the advertised box-stock engine warranty. Installing intake, exhaust, carburetor, governor, internal-engine, or other performance modifications may affect or void engine warranty coverage.
