The Ultimate Bolt On Torque Converter Kit for 8-18 HP engines. This TAV Kit is specifically for big block engines (Predator 301/420, GX270/390, etc) with 1" Crankshafts. If used on engines larger than 18 HP, you will burn up belts.
We recommend you use an impact when installing these parts. Failure to do so may result in the torque converter coming apart and possible injury.

- 1- 40 series driver for 1" crankshaft
- 1- 40 5/8" or 3/4" series driven pulley
- 1- 40 series 7/8" wide drive belt
- 1- 10T Sprocket for 40/41/420 chain
- 1- jack shaft assembly
- 1- 3/8" heavy duty steel back plate with all mounting hardware
- Outer cover with mounting hardware

Good quality but wrong hardware and sub-optimal...
Not a huge deal, but when you spend $400 on a piece of kit, from a reputable outfit like GPS, you expect them to send the right type of bolt for the torque converter cover. The baseplate is a coarse thread and they sent fine threaded bolts. Customer service was a lacking too. I spoke with two individuals and just wanted to get the right size bolt. The first one forgot half of what I said and had to keep asking for clarification. Gave incomplete information regarding the correct bolt. The second did not have the requisite information available. Again not a deal breaker but certainly below expectations.

The Right Choice!
I purchased this 40-series torque converter kit for my Manco Phoenix Condor II restoration project. I mated it to a Predator 459 Max Performance engine. It bolted right up and the kit had everything needed for this application. I was even able to mount the cover over the unit with only slight trimming. This combo works really well together and moves the Condor II effortlessly. I could have purchased a cheaper kit elsewhere, but the build quality and the HD level of the components make me feel I made the right choice!

Was hesitant to spend the money, but I am amazed at the quality and the performance. This is one awesome piece of machinery! The plate alone was enough to calm my doubts. Installed on an 11hp briggs and stratton mounted to a yerf dog kart, it makes the four wheeler tires I upgraded too move like I want. GPS also was my supplier for the hubs to mount those tires. I'm so impressed with everything I have ordered from here! Great products and amazing service. Would not hesitate to spend the money again if needed. As long as I'm building karts, I will be a customer!

Fit 212 Hemi?
I'm currently building a stage 2 predator 212 which should end up rated over 8hp, thr problem is the series 30 converter doesn't seem like it will handle the power and this one doesn't seem like it will fit the 212. Any advice or conformation that it'll fit?

Shipping was fast, but I installed and the driver locked up within 2 min. Currently waiting on call back after sending picks in to person named Scott. When I called in he was very friendly and informative so hoping I here something today as to what can be done

40 series aftermarket Torque...
Pros: It arrived on time as stated, It was easy and fast to install. about 20min Cons: Box was damaged and ripped pretty badly, Packaging was cheap bubble wrap on steel components, All mounting hardware is cheap grade 5 crap, The link for the 420 chain hits the driven pulley. Overall thoughts. I used this on a Predator 420cc Hemi engine with a header pipe, I do wish for the price you pay for this kit it would come with grade 8 hardware and they would use a foam filled packaging instead of bubble wrap. I wish I could move the 10T gear over just a smidge it would work great, I also wish the driver would come with a higher engagement level instead of the 1600 RPM set up. I do believe it's made so you have to buy new parts to upgrade it. At least install the green driver spring to help hold it open a bit longer and that would make it a little more worth the prise you pay.
