Good buuut the...
I bought this for piece of mind because it will add more safety to your engine and give a little more power. And installation is easy thanks to youtube, but man you will be doing a lot of clearancing, the typical spots are top and bottom of the end of cyclinder wall, rod bolts at the top of the block, oil dipper hitting side of the block, and in between the lobes on the cam. But you also have a problem with the cam lobes hitting the connecting rod which are were already clearanced for the lobes but not nearly enough i had to remove half an inch for them not to hit and the pins on the back of the cam hit crankshaft counterweights so much so that i had to grind them down so much, that there was barely enough to hold the springs on and i carefully shaved a bit down on the counterweights and then it fit with .001 of clearance. Also just a note for anyone looking to purchase this when you do the valve springs there is only one cap on the exhaust side so dont freak out like i did thinking it went missing.

Not...
Me personally I have built 8 engines before this 224 and in that I can’t believe you haft to clearance the bottom of the cylinder in 2 spots so that the rod will not make contact and if you do not polish what you cut away it will destroy the skirts on the piston. Ask me how I know…… and I did make sure nothing had a sharp edge but o well I will not be building another… 224!
